McMorris formerly served as the Chief Communication & Marketing Officer for the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). While leading the University out of one of the largest crises in UNO history, the Covid19 Pandemic, she remained successful in retaining a talented team while driving results. McMorris strategically led a staff of 29 in University-wide external marketing, branding, internal communications, web development, events, and crisis management efforts in direct support of the overall perception of the University. Under her leadership, the MarComm staff received more than 30 statewide and national industry awards and recognitions for their work.
Prior to UNO, McMorris was a nationally recognized leader through her marketing efforts at Omaha ABC-affiliated television station KETV and Cox Media as senior marketing executive.
McMorris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Public Relations from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She is married to Kenny McMorris, CEO of Charles Drew Health Care, and has two pretty cool children: Kenny Jr., and Makenli Savanna.
